her er en "typisk" historie.. stærk atlet, men lidt dekonditioneret til high rep arbejde. og så en hård workout med mere hårdt arbejde næste dag.

I have been training for a powerlifting meet that comes up in a few weeks, and put CrossFit on the back burner till the meet is done. I'm better at Powelifting, being 6'3" 220 (230 today) and making a serious run at an Elite Total has me feeling like competitively i'm more of a powerlifter, but recreationally i love (and still love) CrossFit.
To bring my bodyweight back in check I picked up CrossFit again and my first workout back was Angie 100 rep; pull-up, push-up, sit-up, squat. Yeah, I know... not smart... i'm heavier than ever, stronger than ever, and my ability to recover from high rep low weight/load is as low as it's been in a while.
I didn't PR, but it went okay, nothing particularly painful during the WOD.
The following day I was sore, but just more sore than normal, no red flags, yet... I coached Tuesday evening, and demonstrated kipping pull-ups, butterfly pull-ups, and Muscle ups, they were more challenging than normal, but just by an amount that i'd attribute to the soreness. After they left, i did a wod about 2 hours later with running squat cleans and rope climbs. The rope climb was by far the hardest one of my life!!! The following morning (Wednesday) I was pretty bad, my arm locked up a bit over 90 degrees, and it was a little swollen. Any effort to stretch was not effective at all! I went to the hospital Wednesday night, and had CpK of 23,000 (normal is no more than 300"

Har satme aldrig haft så ondt og haft det så skidt, + jeg troede i starten jeg pissede blod, for det var mere orange end æblejuice. Tog ca. 2,5 uge at komme over.
Moralen er, at Nordic Hamstring er en sikker vinder hvis man gerne vil prøve at ødelægge en muskel.
