Shawn Ray had the remarkable opportunity to interview one of the most prestigious icons in bodybuilding history - Lee Haney. Lee was the first NPC Nationals Overall winner and then went on to compete on the Mr Olympia stage the following year. He placed third in 1983 and in 1984 he won the Mr Olympia and went on to hold that title for 8 consecutive times.

Lee Haney struggled to become a professional bodybuilder while working two part time jobs as well as balancing college and a girlfriend. However, in addition to trying to achieve his bodybuilding goals Lee always had an eye out on how to improve himself and those around him and that is what makes him one of our most recognizable and idolized icons in the bodybuilding industry.

Shawn Ray and I had the opportunity to visit Lee Haney in his home of 24 years. We then setup an interview in his living room discussing Lee Haney's career from turning Pro to when he retired as a Pro Bodybuilder.
