Hi Guys, sorry for english, I don't know dutch..

Okay. I am now in yours very beautiful country, and want to continue diet for Muscle mass increase.
I wanted to include to my diet oaks, which I never ate before, but I cant select the best one.

There are in shops: finvalsede havregryn, grovalsede havregryn, and okologiske havregryn.

I have in Poland 3 types of oaks, one of them is instant and have glycemical index 85, and the remaining ones (not-instant) have glycemical index 40-50 (<< i need this one).

I want to buy at Denmark oaks with as low glycemical index as possible, I dont want to increase my body fat.

Please guys, give me name of these oaks in denmark, and for example, shop (market) where i can buy it.

Thanks for reply,
Orzech

It's called oats, not oaks. Oaks are trees :D

Buy Ota Solgryn for best taste or just any cheap brand. You shouldn't worry about your bodyfat level when consuming oats - unless of course you are eating a whole box a day.

We do not speak Dutch in Denmark, we speak Danish :D

I like "7 Morgen Finvalsede Havregryn Økologiske" From Rema 1000.
I do not think that there is a big difference between the regular kind of oats.

Good luck!

Doesn't matter :)

Finvalset/grovvalset refers to the texture of the oats. Finvalsede = fine and smooth, grovvalsede = coarse, almost grainy

The nutritional value is not affected by this.

Økologiske = organic, so that's more of an ideological preference than anything ;) these products tend to be more expensive, but, again, the nutritional value is the same.

Whatever you buy, you get pure oats, so it doesn't really matter :)

Ok sorry for errors :P I apologize :blackeye:

The guys on Polish bodybuilding forums still talking to me that I shouldn't eat instant oats, only natural oats. Shit... They said that all differences are about glycemical index of instants / normal, and etching rate.

I' made mistake at my last mass diet - I reversed oats with cornflakes, brown rice with white rice. Effects - Increased body fat a lot, and now I don't want to make any mistakes..

Any ideas about glycemical index of these oats?

Your great increase in body fat was probably due to a lot of things, mainly a (too) high calorie intake. Getting the majority of your carbs from oats, brown (or white) rice, pasta, potatoes etc. is not going to have any significant impact on your body fat - especially not if you have a controlled caloric surplus. Are you sure you didn't just eat waaay to much on your last bulking phase? :)

No no I'm talking about effect of complex carbohydrates with low GI rate.

If you eat less processed food, it have lower GI rate, and the carbohydrates are digested slower than in a food with high GI rate.
If you eat a lot of carbo with high GI, you have burst of insulin, and all carbohydrates converts fast to fat. and you will run out of energy soon.
If you eat a carbo with low GI, it is digested slower and provides energy for longer time, instead of making fat with carbohydrates, it's the difference. The same as white rice (high GI, more processed) and wild / brown rice(less processed)

that are words of Polish guys from the diet and gym forums :P
Too much calories also increases fat of course, you are right. But what i described is the second fat effect.

the last time i have calculated my need of kcal, and i eat only this what i have in diet. and i increased my fat unfortunately of high GI of food (white rice, cornflakes).

Ok guys, maybe you can give me a link to a nutrition table with glycemical indexes of carbohydrates in Danish language(i finded only english-languaged tables)? and i will find what i need.

thanks for the replies, greetings :D

Yeah "rå havregryn" just means raw oats, just like the havregryn from brands like "budget", "OTA", "Kornkammeret" etc. :) They're all raw.
