Yates rows are performed in a more upright position. Here's a demonstration. Yates used to do them with an underhand grip until he tore his biceps.
They seem to focus more on the entire traps (low, mid, upper) at the expense of the lats by being somewhere between a shrug and a bent-over row. Both will hit the rhomboids if that's what you're asking. Just focus on squeezing everything back there at the top of the movement.
Yates rows are more upright, anywhere from 50 or so degrees to almost vertical. They mostly hit the traps, the bar is pulled to the belly. An underhand grip can be used to further involve the traps (its a weird mechanics trick, but an underhand grip moves the focus up) this grip can be dangerous for the biceps tendon though.
Barbell rows in general are done with a 45 degree or lower angle and an overhand grip. Also, a fairly wide grip on the bar.
Also, just in case you were wondering, pendlay rows are done completely paralell to the floor. the bar can also be deweighted between reps.
